End of Year Madness

Hello gentle reader.

No song this week.  Sorry!

The songwriting challenge has died.  I'm sad.  Apparently I work best in the creative world with deadlines and rules.  Counterintuitive, perhaps, but I had an inkling this is where I'd end up.  I have been working on a previously mentioned rewrite of a Snapface song.  Specifically a love song I wrote for my beloved called Horn of the Moon.  I needed to rewrite it so I could add it to a setlist for when/if Shari and I decided to start doing open mics and playing out.

I've got the music bed recorded but with the craziness of the holidays it'll be after life returns to normal before Shari and I record vocals.  I may take a bit of time and work on edits for some of these songs that came out of the challenge, and continue to work on demos but likely not on a weekly basis.

I've still got a pile of songs that I want to add to this blog, with my musings behind the writing so there'll be content.  And as I get Shari to start recording vocals that content should be much more pleasing to your ears. LOL

So as we wind down the year and gear up for the holidays I wish you all the best, and I'll pick this back up in the New Year (although since I'm done with work for the year after this coming Friday maybe I'll squeeze one more actual song post up for 2024.

Be excellent to each other.
